Why Meditation?
I’ve heard a lot about the power of meditation in managing stress, boosting focus, and improving mental clarity. I’ve tried it off and on, but I’ve never committed to a daily practice. So, for the next 30 days, I’m going to meditate for at least 10 minutes every day, and I’m going to take you along for the ride.
I’ve chosen this challenge because, with my busy schedule, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Meditation has the potential to ground me and improve my emotional well-being—and who wouldn’t want that?
What’s My Goal?
The goal is simple:
To meditate every day for 10 minutes for 30 days.
I’ll be using a mix of guided meditations, mindfulness breathing exercises, and just sitting in silence. I hope to:
Decrease my stress levels
Improve my concentration
Develop a consistent morning ritual
What to Expect From This Blog Series
Over the next 30 days, I’ll share:
Daily reflections on how I’m feeling, any challenges, and what I’ve learned
Honest updates—whether I’ve nailed it or struggled to get through
Tips & tricks I discover to make meditation more effective and enjoyable
And at the end of the month, I’ll give you a full summary of my experience: what worked, what didn’t, and whether I’ll continue the practice beyond this challenge.
Day 1: The First Session
Today, I kicked things off with a 10-minute guided meditation from the Headspace app. It was focused on mindfulness and breathing—just the basics to help me center myself.
At first, my mind was racing. I kept thinking about all the things I had to do today, but I reminded myself that meditation is about accepting those thoughts and letting them float away. By the end of the session, I did feel calmer, though I definitely still have a long way to go in terms of quieting my mind!
Reflection: How I’m Feeling After Day 1
Calm but Uncertain: I feel relaxed, but I’m not sure I “got it” yet. My mind wandered quite a bit.
Excited for Tomorrow: I know this is just the beginning, and I’m curious to see how things evolve as I continue.
The Challenge Begins: Getting in the right headspace for meditation isn’t easy, but I’m committed to showing up every day.
Join Journey! Challenge

What’s Next?
Tomorrow, I’ll be back with a Day 2 update on how the meditation is going and whether I’m feeling any different. Stay tuned !
Takeaways from Today
Meditation doesn’t have to be perfect—it’s about showing up and being present.
Starting small and simple (10 minutes) is the key to building a lasting habit.
It’s okay if your mind wanders; it’s part of the process.
